Arco da Praça (Square’s Arch)

The “Arco da Praça” (“Porta Nova”?), inserted in the “çerqua do meyo” (Old Fence or 2nd Islamic Fence) to the west, is pointed and beveled, torn in 1569 under the new “Paços do Concelho” (Council Chamber), conserving a small old wall part, made in earth structure (adobe), topped by battlements and open, similar to the Almohad wall in Seville.
