Savior’s Square

Its construction began in 1780 and ended in 1796, in the place where the Church of Santa Maria Madalena used to be.
Inside the temple, the chancel stands out, the four side altars painted to imitate marble and also the varied masonry works that range from profane to religious themes (religious emblems).
Next to the Church, in an annexed yard, was the old cemetery of Santa Casa da Misericórdia since the century. XVI until 1845.
